Israel - Walking in the Footsteps of Jesus
Walking Israel • Spring 2011 • 10-12 Days
This Adventure will be offered in 2011. A final itinerary is being prepared.
The Holy Land! As described in the Bible, its early history in the generations following Noah is first linked with the Chosen People of Israel beginning with Abraham, father of the Jewish Nation. Acre for acre, no other piece of the planet has had a greater impact on world events than Israel. Our Adventure in the Holy Land is replete with names that fill the Bible stories: Cana, where Jesus turned the water into wine; the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus calmed the storm; Gethsemane and the Mount of Olives; Bethany, where Lazarus was raised from the dead; Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jericho, the Jordan River, the Dead Sea, and more.
HIGHLIGHTS
•Nazareth, where Jesus walked the streets as a boy, and the excavation of Jericho, one of the world’s oldest cities
•The Sea of Galilee, the region where Jesus spent much of his time inministry, and the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem
•The Dead Sea — for a special “floating” experience at the lowest place on Earth
