ACTIVITIES IN MANHATTAN
Lower Manhattan Financial District & Ground Zero Walk 11 km, rated 1+
Following breakfast, we'll board Manhattan's famed subway system for a day in Lower Manhattan. Due to the wealth of delightful distractions along Manhattan's walk routes, we've allotted the majority of each day to use the walk route to see the City. Walkers are free to walk on their own or with the guided group. A schedule for each walk will be provided outlining where we'll break for additional sightseeing along each route. Lower Manhattan boasts a plethora of attractions including Battery Park with views of Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty, Wall Street and the financial district, remnants of the 17th-century founding of Manhattan, the Brooklyn Bridge walk—a highlight in its own right, and the somber reminder of 9-11 at Ground Zero.

ACTIVITIES IN MANHATTAN
Greenwich Village/Chinatown/Little Italy Walk 10 km, rated 2
Today's walk features the diversity typical of New York City. Greenwich's colonial history is still evident in places, but this district is best known as a communal nursery for avant-garde approaches to literature, art, music, and a range of social issues. Chinatown and Little Italy illustrate the fascinating and often-tumultuous role immigration continues to play in Manhattan's history. Our walk connects us with the vibrancy of this part of Manhattan in ways that only walking can.
