Edinburgh Plus the Highlands & Islands of Scotland is a delightful survey of the stark beauty and colorful history of Scotland. The heather should be in bloom for our highlands walks, and the tiny island of Iona, in the Inner Hebrides, is a wondrous place of solitude and beauty. For many, however, the highlight of the tour will be exploring Edinburgh on an all-day walk, then returning in the evening for the world-famous Edinburgh Military Tattoo. This spellbinding evening of music and dance, performed on the esplanade of the Edinburgh Castle, has been a perennial favorite for past WAI groups.
